Food Purchased from IKEA Swedish bistro
- Beef Meat Ball
- Salmon Fillet
- Blueberry Cake

First item review is the classic beef meat ball. This dish includes 16 pieces of beef meat balls, 1 scoop of mashed potatoes, some carrots and 1 slice of broccoli and cauliflower. The beef meat ball is topped with sauce as well as cranberry jam.

The meat ball itself has very little beef taste to it, and it does feels soft and the texture when you bite into it is good. However, if it add a bit of the cranberry jam onto the meat ball, it kind of raises the meat ball into another level, giving it a sweet taste to it, combined with the smooth texture, a perfect combination. The mashed potatoes taste kind of bland and normal, with nothing exceptional to it. As for the carrots and vegetables that comes with this dish, it was boiled in water beforehand, hence, it was also very bland and simple tasting.
**Take note that IKEA also serve the plant based meat ball option, so if you feel adventurous, you can try it out and give us your feedback on it.

Moving onto the next dish is the salmon fillet. It comes with potato pancake, a side of vegetables containing carrots, broccoli and cauliflower and of course the salmon fillet. The salmon is topped with some weird tasting sauce (Mysterio is not able to identify it). The sauce itself has little to no flavor to it, making it hard to identify, not only that, it was also very bland. As for the salmon, it was way overcooked. The salmon is hard and very crewy, to the point where it is flaky when you dive your fork into it. As for the potatoes pancake, it was also overcooked. the pancake itself was very hard to bite through without hurting your jaws. Last but not least, the vegetables is similar to the serving in beef meat ball, it was bland but edible.

Last dish Mysterio ordered is the blueberry cake. The cake itself look presentable with the "Merry Christmas" sign sticked to the cake. As it was nearly the festive season, Mysterio decided to give it a try. Contraty to how it looks, this blueberry cake is actually pretty good. The crust on the top of the cake is nice and crispy, the blueberry is tasty without too overpowering and the cheese cake in the centre is not too sweet as well. However there is something Mysterio cant figure out, that is the color of blueberry cake is reddish instead of blueish, but if its good, why complain.
Verdict:
Mysterio rated the IKEA food 3/5 stars.
Beef meat ball is the classic for IKEA bistro, but it was rarely a hit food in Myterio's opinion, having tried the meat ball in Europe, the meat ball in Singapore is kind of subpar. As for the Salmon fillet, it was a total disaster, the entire dish was literally overcooked. The only saving grace is the blueberry cheesecake that helps to push the score up a bit.
