Mysterio Ate At Blanco Court Fried Fish Noodles Serves Fish Soup With Egg Floss

When it comes to fish soup, the broth is usually the make or break condition for a good fish soup. Mysterio likes to order fried fish although it often seems that boiled fish brings out the soup's flavour better. Thankfully, fried is the more popular choice at Blanco Court Fried Fish Noodles, and what got me excited was pictures of their fried egg floss.

Cost:

An order of their Fried Fish Soup comes at $5.50 with noodles and an extra $0.50 if you choose to instead have rice. The steamed fish has a soft and chewy texture while the fried fish was coated in a thin batter which meant it didn't go soggy sitting in the soup. Their chilli makes the meat especially moreish with freshly chopped garlic bits I like to add to each spoonful of fish. They're generous with the greens and the deep fried shallots add addition flavors to your soup.

Flavors:

The thick bee hoon that was chewy, yet springy paired with the rich flavour of the soup, making it savory and delicious. On the side note, there's not much fried egg floss that comes with each order but you can get a freshly fried bowl for $2. This way, you can have it separate and crisp or submerged in your soup to soften.

Verdict:

Mysterio rate it 3.5/5 stars

Broth: Excellent soup base

Fried Fish: Great fish with nice batter

Price: Slightly more expensive at $5.50 per bowl
